The second trimester will end this week.  Report cards will be handed out sometime next week.  With the start of the third trimester, we have also started our third book in reading.  With us starting this new book, students will now be required to complete the writing portion of the reading test on their own.  We have practiced thinking about the question and how to write out the answer on multiple tests.

2 hour data delay will be on WEDNESDAY March 8, 2017.

Forms were sent home for the annual Chinese Auction here at the school.  The theme for our class this year is “Fun Summer Day”.  Anything that you and your child love to do in the summer would be greatly appreciated for our theme.  Whether it be chalk to draw on the sidewalk, toys for the pool or tickets to Knoebels, anything would that you can do in the summer is perfect.

With the end of the 2nd trimester nearing, students are now expected to read reading tests by themselves. I will no longer be reading the tests to them. In order to help your child be successful on these assessments, please make sure you are reading with them each evening. This exposure is extremely beneficial in helping your child become an independent reader.

Monday (Day 4) Music- Review List 13 spelling words
Tuesday (Day 5) Computers- Write spelling words 2 times each.
Wednesday (No Special) 2 HOUR DATA DELAY- Study list 13 spelling words.  Spelling and reading test will be on Thursday.
Thursday (Day 6) Library- No Homework
Friday – (Day 7) Art- Please sign and return any papers from the Friday folders.
