Classroom Happenings for December 2^nd – 6^th, 2019

Note: December reading logs were sent home today. The goal is to read ten books per month however, I strongly encourage reading every night. Please look for a note in your child’s folder which gives an update on the Pizza Hut Book-It program.

We will continue working on our first story in Unit 2, A Big Fish for Max. The focus question in Unit 2 is “What is a Community?” Our stories will be centered around discussing this question.

In math, we will continue to work on addition and subtraction in Unit 3. Please continue to practice the Doubles Rap that was sent home last week.

Monday (No school)

Tuesday (Day 1) Art –Review List 7 spelling words, words with digraphs sh, th. Review ALL sight words in green notebook. A new list was added today.

Wednesday (Day 2) Gym- Write List 7 spelling words 2x each. Read small decodable book “Going Fishing” focusing on sh, th digraphs.

Thursday (Day 3) Library – Review List 7 spelling words. Review ALL sight words in green notebook.

Friday (Day 4) Music –  No homework! Please check the Friday Folder for important papers. Sign your child’s Friday Folder, and any stamped papers. Return to school on Monday.
